{"id":1498,"date":"2019-06-03T20:36:39","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T18:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sy-maya.de\/home\/?p=1498"},"modified":"2019-06-04T04:16:17","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T02:16:17","slug":"aruba-one-happy-island-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sy-maya.de\/home\/2019\/06\/03\/aruba-one-happy-island-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Aruba &#8211; One happy island"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Aruba &#8211; das &#8222;A&#8220; der ABC-Inseln liegt 15 Meilen n\u00f6rdlich von Venezuela. Es ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr seine wei\u00dfen Sandstr\u00e4nde und die relativ hohen Temperaturen (im Durchschnitt etwa 28\u00b0C das ganze Jahr \u00fcber). Es geh\u00f6rt offiziell zu den Niederlanden, aber es gibt auch einen betr\u00e4chtlichen amerikanischen Einfluss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jetzt sind wir schon seit fast einem Monat auf Aruba und um ehrlich zu sein: Wir sind hier vor allem, weil wir noch auf ein paar Ersatzteile warten und nicht unbedingt, weil wir die Insel so super finden. Einige Leute scherzen, dass Segelreisen bedeutet \u201edas Boot an sehr exotischen Orten zu reparieren\u201c. Ich neige momentan dazu dem zuzustimmen. Trotzdem genie\u00dfen wir die Zeit hier und verbringen viele Stunden an den sch\u00f6nen Str\u00e4nden und im Wasser. Wir haben hier auch viele nette Leute, sowohl von der Insel als auch andere Fahrtensegler, kennengelernt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dennoch ist Aruba weder einer der exotischsten Orte, an denen wir bisher waren, noch der Sch\u00f6nste. Wir haben das Gef\u00fchl, dass es hier sehr gesch\u00e4ftig und sehr touristisch ist &#8211; vor allem in der Innenstadt und in der N\u00e4he des Kreuzfahrtterminals. Au\u00dferdem scheint es uns, dass die Insel fast wie eine W\u00fcste ist und sogar der gro\u00dfe Naturschutzpark etwas verwaist und trocken aussieht.&nbsp; Die &#8222;Butterfly Farm on Aruba&#8220; ist einer davon. Es ist ein kleiner, aber sehr sch\u00f6ner Ort! Interessante Tatsache: Die Schmetterlinge, die Nektar essen (enth\u00e4lt viel Zucker!), haben eine deutlich k\u00fcrzere Lebensdauer (Tage oder Wochen) als die, die Fr\u00fcchte essen, die mehr Protein und N\u00e4hrstoffe enthalten (bis zu mehreren Monaten). Also, iss weniger Zucker! Es war einst die wichtigste Stadt auf Aruba. Doch seit die besten Zeiten der nahegelegenen \u00d6lraffinerie vorbei sind, ist es jetzt ein ziemlich schwieriger Ort. Aktuell wird versucht, das Gebiet neu zu entwickeln und Menschen mit Kunst anzuziehen. Wenn man etwas an dem Boot reparieren will, ist Cura\u00e7ao wahrscheinlich der bessere Ort). Es gibt aber viele Bars und Restaurants. Der Schwerpunkt liegt eben auf dem Tourismus mit Kreuzfahrtschiffen und einigen ziemlich gro\u00dfen Hotels und Resorts.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n<p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<!-- START UNITE GALLERY style=\"display:none\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t<!-- END UNITEGALLERY --><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Praktische Dinge:<\/em> Die Renaissance-Marina auf Aruba ist wirklich nett, das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und die Nutzung der Einrichtungen des Renaissance-Hotels (Marriott), wie Schwimmbad und die Renaissance-Privatinsel mit Flamigo Strand, ist inklusive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aruba hat auch einige gute M\u00f6glichkeiten zu ankern. Ich denke, der beste Ankerplatz ist direkt vor dem Surfside Beach. Es gibt hier einen ziemlich guten Schutz, einen gut haltenden Grund (man sollte etwas auf Sand achten und vielleicht nicht unbedingt im Seegras ankern) und es ist m\u00f6glich mit dem Dingi zum Strand zu fahren oder das Dingidock der Renaissance Marina (direkt hinter der Tankstelle) zu benutzen. Nachteil ist, dass es einige (Ausflugs-)Boote gibt, die regelm\u00e4\u00dfig die Bucht queren und die Ankerbucht sich in der N\u00e4he des Flughafens befindet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Einklarieren ist in Aruba nicht unbedingt sehr bequem, da man zun\u00e4chst zum Barcadera Hafen muss, bevor man ankern oder in die Marina darf. Es gibt einen h\u00f6lzernen Steg f\u00fcr Yachten, aber es kann schwierig sein, dorthin zu gelangen, da einige Stellen davor relativ flach sind (und eigentlich ist es beim Peer auch nicht sehr tief). Wir haben nur 1,6m Tiefgang mit unserer Maya und f\u00fchlten uns an diesem Pier nicht wirklich wohl, weil unser Echolot nur sehr wenig Wasser unter dem Kiel angezeigt hat.
