Wir sind von Las Perlas \/ Ilsa del Rey gestartet. Die Strecke ist aufgrund der vorherrschenden (oder auch mal nicht vorhandenen) Winde und Str\u00f6mungsverh\u00e4ltnisse nicht g\u00e4nzlich unkompliziert. Die Gegend um den \u00c4quator gilt grunds\u00e4tzlich als windschwach. Dieses Gebiet wird auch als innertropische Konvergenzzone oder Kalmen(g\u00fcrtel) bezeichnet. Im Atlantik nennt man es auch  Doldrums. Bei der Strecke Panama nach Ecuador muss man zudem regionale Wetterbedingungen und Str\u00f6mungsverh\u00e4ltnisse ber\u00fccksichtigen. Zum Gl\u00fcck haben wir jetzt einigerma\u00dfen verl\u00e4ssliche Wetterberichte. Wir haben einige Tage gewartet, um ein einigerma\u00dfen brauchbares Wetterfenster zu bekommen. Insbesondere wollten wir den angek\u00fcndigten &#8222;schweren Gewittern&#8220; aus dem Weg gehen. Davon hatten wir auf der \u00dcberfahrt von Kolumbien nach Panama schon genug. Zugegeben, es gibt sicherlich schlimmeres als auf Las Perlas einige Tage zu bummeln und zu warten. ??<br> Die \u00dcberfahrt selbst verlief sehr gut. Wir hatten von 0 bis 7 Bft. Wind alles dabei. Die Str\u00f6mungen in dieser Ecke des Pazifik sind aber schon beeindruckend. Nur 2 Beispiele: einmal sind wir bei totaler Flaute immer noch mit 2,5 bis 3 Knoten unterwegs gewesen, nur von der Str\u00f6mung und Wellen angetrieben. Andererseits hatten wir auch den Fall, dass wir trotz Segel und Motor nur mit M\u00fche etwa 2 bis 2,5 Knoten Richtung Ziel vorangekommen sind. <br> Ich denke daher, dass es eine gute Idee war, dass wir die Str\u00f6mungsverh\u00e4ltnisse bei unserer Routenwahl ber\u00fccksichtigt haben. Durch befreundete Segler und einschl\u00e4gige Literatur (siehe unten) waren wir schon etwas vorbereitet. Wir haben eine &#8222;Offshore&#8220; Route weit abseits vom Festland gew\u00e4hlt. Wir sind sogar noch westw\u00e4rts von der Insel Malpelo (eine kleine Felsinsel mitten im Pazifik, die zu Kolumbien geh\u00f6rt) geblieben. In Panama waren wir zwar auch \u00f6fter mal unterwegs aber meist nur Tagestouren. <br> Auf der Strecke haben wir auch einiges gesehen. Zum ersten Mal sind wir Walen ? begegnet und auch Delphine? haben uns besucht und ein St\u00fcck begleitet. Dass fliegende Fische an Bord springen kennen wir seit der Atlantik\u00fcberquerung, aber dass auch Tintenfische an Bord landen war neu f\u00fcr uns.? Gleich zweimal hatten wir diesen Besuch. Einer davon hat auf unserer Achterkabine eine Menge Tintenspuren hinterlassen. Wir hoffen, dass man das wieder gut wegbekommt. Wir hatten &#8222;Besuch&#8220; von Neptun zur \u00c4quatortaufe. Jetzt sind wir wohl richtige Salzbuckel. Die Marina &#8222;Puerto Amistad&#8220; \/  <em>Bah\u00eda de Car\u00e1quez<\/em> in Ecuador liegt in einer Flussm\u00fcndung. Bei der Einfahrt ist es teilweise sehr flach und man kann man daher nur bei Hochwasser einlaufen. Da wir erst eine Weile nach Hochwasser angekommen sind und die Ebbe schon eingesetzt hatte, mussten wir au\u00dferhalb des Hafens noch eine Nacht ankern. Die Stadt macht auf den ersten Blick einen recht netten Eindruck.
