Ich habe hier einen Arzttermin. Auf der Insel ist eine Augenarztpraxis (von insgesamt 3 in ganz FP!). Der Augenarzt in Tahiti hat mich hierher vermittelt, damit ich vor der Abreise nochmal mein Auge pr\u00fcfen lassen kann. Seit einer Weile habe ich Probleme damit. Es ist zwar aber auf dem Weg der Besserung, sollte aber beobachtet werden und Bedarf passender Behandlung. Daher musste ich nach Uturoa auf Raiatea. Der Ort ist eigentlich ganz nett, aber mit dem Boot ist es unbequem, weil es keine guten Ankerpl\u00e4tze gibt. Es gibt eine Pier, an der man sogar kostenlos anlegen kann, aber es ist dort fast permanent Schwell von den vielen F\u00e4hren und Ausflugsbooten und auch weil im Bezug auf die normalerweise vorherrschenden Winde nicht gut gesch\u00fctzt ist. Maya hat teilweise erb\u00e4rmlich geschaukelt in dieser Situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trotzdem ist es ganz praktisch, weil man direkt im Zentrum von Uturoa ist. Es gibt dort relativ viel Infrastruktur, wie z.B.3 kleine Superm\u00e4rkte, Snacks, Restaurants und diverse Boutiquen. Es gibt auch ein relativ gro\u00dfes &#8222;Hafengeb\u00e4ude&#8220; welches offenbar das Business mit Kreuzfahrt-Touristen unterst\u00fctzen soll. Hier sind auch diverse Gesch\u00e4fte untergebracht. Es gibt dort eigentlich ein paar gute Tauchspots (der Pass Teavapiti, ein Schiffswrack usw.) allerdings waren an meinem Tauchtag die Bedingungen nicht ideal. Es hatte vorher relativ stark geregnet und daher war die Sicht Unterwasser nicht wirklich gut. Trotzdem war es nett mal wieder abzutauchen, aber ich habe auf weitere Tauchg\u00e4nge verzichtet (vermutlich bin ich schon etwas verw\u00f6hnt, weil ich einige wirklich exzellente Schnorchelspots und Tauchpl\u00e4tze bei sehr guten Bedingungen erlebt habe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich habe auf der Insel auch noch ein paar kleinere Wanderungen unternommen, um mit vor der langen \u00dcberfahrt nochmals ordentlich die Beine zu vertreten. Die Aussicht von den H\u00fcgeln \u00fcber die Insel (und zu den Nachbarinseln) ist wirklich wunderbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Ausklarieren aus Franz\u00f6sisch Polynesien ging sehr unkompliziert. Ich bin mit meinen Dokumenten (Bootspapiere, Ausweis etc.) zum lokalen B\u00fcro der Gendarmerie National und diese leiten alles zu den entsprechenden Stellen in Papeete weiter. Einige Tage sp\u00e4ter kann man dann die &#8222;International Clearance&#8220; abholen. Damit ist man dann frei und kann lossegeln. In Fidschi habe ich mich auch schon angemeldet. In Zeiten von (nach?) Corona ist das Reisen etwas komplizierter geworden und man kann nicht mehr so einfach lossegeln und bei der Ankunft einfach &#8218;hallo&#8216; sagen. Immerhin ist es jetzt aber wieder m\u00f6glich die Reise fortzusetzen. Einige L\u00e4nder auf dem Weg (Cook Islands, Tonga, Samoa, Niue), die ich durchaus gerne besuchen w\u00fcrde, muss ich aber \u00fcberspringen (nicht nur weil die Grenzen z.T. noch geschlossen sind, auch weil ich nur begrenzt Zeit habe und wieder nach Thailand m\u00f6chte).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mein letzter Stopp in Franz\u00f6sisch Polynesien war auf der Insel Raiatea.
